Week 16 of the regular season is when the second half will get started in earnest. It’s also the second to last week before the trade deadline, so we could be on the verge of seeing a whirlwind of moves. The Cincinnati Reds, the Colorado Rockies’ opponent Friday through Sunday have already declared themselves major sellers, and the Rockies are potentially going to be sellers themselves. Chad Bettis also recently went on the disabled list for the Rockies, making Friday’s starting pitcher uncertain. What this ultimately means is that this week’s projected starting pitchers should be taken with a grain of salt. Some of these pitchers might not even be on the team they’re currently scheduled to pitch for by the time their start rolls around. That being said, let’s do the best we can to take a look ahead to this week.
